The Sweet Fix

My adventure into all things sweet with a little serving of life on the side.

Hi, my name is Tracy Hinds, and I love interesting. I seek it out daily. I especially enjoy baking and exploring Seattle. I created this blog to share my adventures into all of the excitement currently invading my life. Recipes, random silliness, and showing some love for chefs of all things sweet are what I will usually post. Take a look around!

Contact me at TracyHinds@gmail.com I'd love to hear from you!

And it’s in my hood! Not only is this the best cupcake I have tasted here since I began my adventure as a New Yorker last year, but I dare say it was one of the best cupcakes I have every tasted(I make a mean cupcake).  My lovely and I happened upon it on one of the few rain-less days we’ve had here, and he convinced me to go inside. “But I have such a bad taste in my mouth with NYC cupcakes!”.  *Boyfriend shoves me in the door* Banana cupcake with peanut butter fudge frosting—and yeah, it tasted JUST like my Aunt Faye’s homemade pb fudge. I think I may have actually let out a moan as we walked down the street….
I have refused to buy the hype of cupcake mania in NYC. I have tried quite a few very famous brands here. I will not mention them by name, but I will say they were all awful. AWFUL. Dry, gritty, flavorless, stale cupcakes. They are supposed to be a moist, fresh bit of home goodness. For shame crappy cupcake makers, for shame! In the meantime, Butter Lane, I salute you!
