The Sweet Fix
My adventure into all things sweet with a little serving of life on the side.
Hi, my name is Tracy Hinds, and I love interesting. I seek it out daily. I especially enjoy baking and exploring Seattle. I created this blog to share my adventures into all of the excitement currently invading my life. Recipes, random silliness, and showing some love for chefs of all things sweet are what I will usually post. Take a look around!

A handful of photos for the morning. For the pastry inclined, we have our newest nectarine croissant. Under the nectarine is a fresh, Rainier cherry jam. Just for some color contrast, another seasonal items is our blueberry-vanilla croissant. Fresh blueberries and vanilla pastry cream- a nice combination on a summer day.
To contrast, for the savory fans out there, is a couple of photos of an in-between stage in roasting the duck for rillettes. Phil is adding white wine and aromatics to the roast (note the lovely golden skin on those duck quarters).
The great evil distraction in production is how good so many things smell. You have work to do, you just had a snack and coffee, and then you walk by the roasted duck, and wham…instant hunger, and you end up standing there inhaling, briefly wondering what you were on your way to do (the recovery is quick, but still).
Anyway, just a brief post for today. Again, be on the lookout for new pastry and desert as the summer progresses!
It just so happens I will be in this part of town on Saturday. It’s peach season people!!!! A nectarine will do. For now.
